چکیده

Cipangopaludina cathayensis (Gastropoda: Prosobranchia; Mesogastropoda; Viviparidae) is widely distributed in the freshwater habitats of China. It an economically important snail with high edible and medicinal value. However, genomic resources reference genome this are lacking. In study, we assembled first chromosome-level C. cathayensis. The preliminary assembly was 1.48 Gb size, a contig N50 size 93.49 Mb. sequences were anchored to nine pseudochromosomes using Hi-C data. final after correction Gb, 98.49 Mb scaffold 195.21 rate chromosome 99.99%. A total 22,702 protein-coding genes predicted. Phylogenetic analyses indicated that diverged Bellamya purificata approximately 158.10 million years ago. There 268 expanded 505 contracted gene families when compared its most recent common ancestor. Five putative under positive selection identified (false discovery <0.05). These data provide valuable resource for evolutionary studies family Viviparidae, genetic improvement

A chromosome-level genome assembly of the Asian arowana, Scleropages formosus

Asian arowana (Scleropages formosus), an ancient teleost belonging to the Order Osteoglossomorpha, has been a valuable ornamental fish with some varieties. However, its biological studies and breeding germplasm have been remarkably limited by the lack of a reference genome. To solve these problems, here we report high-quality genome sequences of three common varieties of Asian arowana (the gold...

Effects of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus and Cipangopaludina cathayensis on Pollutant Removal and Microbial Community in Constructed Wetlands

Aquatic animals play an important role in the energy flow and matter cycling in the wetland ecosystem. However, little is known about their effects on pollutant removal performance and microbial community in constructed wetlands. This work presents an initial attempt to investigate the effects of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus (loach) and Cipangopaludina cathayensis (snail) on nutrient removal perf...

High-quality genome assembly of channel catfish, Ictalurus punctatus

BACKGROUND The channel catfish (Ictalurus punctatus), a species native to North America, is one of the most important commercial freshwater fish in the world, especially in the United States' aquaculture industry. Since its introduction into China in 1984, both cultivation area and yield of this species have been dramatically increased such that China is now the leading producer of channel catf...

The Complete Mitochondrial Genome of Galba pervia (Gastropoda: Mollusca), an Intermediate Host Snail of Fasciola spp

Complete mitochondrial (mt) genomes and the gene rearrangements are increasingly used as molecular markers for investigating phylogenetic relationships. Contributing to the complete mt genomes of Gastropoda, especially Pulmonata, we determined the mt genome of the freshwater snail Galba pervia, which is an important intermediate host for Fasciola spp. in China. The complete mt genome of G. perv...
